A Newburgh man is expected to receive nine years in prison after pleading guilty to drug and firearm charges, according to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.
Officials conducting a long-term drug trafficking investigation performed a search of 42-year-old Alton Junior’s residence and arrested him on July 7.
They uncovered more than four ounces of cocaine, over half an ounce of fentanyl, two loaded pistols, a digital scale, drug packing materials and over $5,000 in cash.
Prosecutors later announced that he pleaded guilty to criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
He is scheduled to be sentenced in December.
