A Spring Valley man was killed during a crash on the Garden State Parkway on Friday.

Police say Luis Vega was thrown from the backseat of a truck after it rear ended a tractor trailer in Chestnut Ridge.

The 23-year-old was not wearing a seatbelt.

The truck's driver, Edgar Vega, and another passenger were hurt and taken to the hospital.

Investigators say the tractor trailer driver was not injured.
