Police released new images in a Newburgh animal cruelty case where two pit bulls were drowned in the Hudson River.
SPCA officials say that by releasing new images of one of the dogs found dead in the Hudson, they hope someone will come forward with information that leads to an arrest.
Officials believe the dogs were used in fighting and were intentionally dumped and drowned inside vinyl laundry bags.
"It was a nylon bag so it'd be hard for water to penetrate," said Gene Hecht of the Hudson Valley SPCA.. "The dog was put in head first and the bag was tied at the end where the legs were."
The SPCA is currently offering a $4,200 reward for information leading to an arrest.
