According to the criminal complaint, 17-year-old Jonathan Felipe-Ventura, of Spring Valley, told police that he pulled a knife on 18-year-old Bryan Hernandez-Rodriguez after Hernandez-Rodriguez cursed at him and punched him in the face on Friday.
After the fight, both students were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern.
In a statement, the superintendent said the district is taking this altercation seriously. It is not clear if the district will discipline the students.
