Police have identified the victim of last Friday's deadly hit-and-run accident in Elmsford as they step up their efforts to find the driver.

Police say the victim, 39-year-old Segundo Ramon Leon, may have been dragged a short distance. Authorities say the driver would have had to feel the impact of the crash and see the damage, however, police say the driver sped off.

The incident is the third fatal hit-and-run accident on Saw Mill River Road in Elmsford this year.

According to police, the father of six from Ecuador was an illegal immigrant.
