Police have identified the man stabbed to death in Yonkers Friday evening outside the Dorado Apartments, a public housing complex at 160 Warburton Ave.
Investigators say Donald Fields, a 46-year-old Yonkers native, suffered 18 stab wounds Friday evening, six of them in the chest.
Fields' coworkers at St. Joseph's Hospital say he was a well-liked man who ran the mail room.
Neighbors say they are terrified that this happened so close to home.
Sources told News 12 that police have a suspect in custody whom they expect to charge with murder.
