Local police departments went head-to-head on the green for a great cause.
A competitive golf tournament was held at the Brae Burn Country Club in Purchase Monday afternoon.
A total of 18 teams played 18 holes to raise money for Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley, which has granted nearly 3,000 wishes for children across the area.
The organization hopes to raise enough money to continue to support the kids who need it most.
"We give about 120 wishes a year and a typical wish can cost anywhere between $7,500-$10,000, so we're going to raise enough money to grant at least four or five wishes just through this outing today," said Andrew Quinn, of Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley.
