While the search is over, police are remaining very tight-lipped about the fate of a missing 37-year-old man.
According to police officials, Village of Florida resident Stefan Krafakis went missing sometime between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning.
Rumors had swirled that Krafakis was suicidal and carrying a weapon, but Village of Florida Mayor James Pawliczek refuted them in a statement, saying Krafakis was not considered a threat to anyone.
Officials have said they will not be making a statement until the investigation is concluded
According to an official News 12 spoke with, Krafakis moved to Florida five months ago from Brooklyn and worked at Fine Architectural Metalsmiths.
One of his co-workers declined to speak on camera, but said the company is going through a very difficult time.
