Police: 'Suspicious death' of elderly Mount Vernon man determined to be of natural causes

Police say they were called to 126 Franklin Ave. Tuesday night for an unresponsive man.

Police say an elderly Mount Vernon man who was found dead and said to have suspicious injuries was determined to have died from natural causes. 
Police say they were called to 126 Franklin Ave. Tuesday night for an unresponsive man.
They found 79-year-old John McGhee dead in a bedroom on the second floor.
Police initially said they found suspicious injuries to McGhee's body during their preliminary investigation.
They say that after consultation with doctors from the Westchester County Medical Examiner’s Office, the determined outcome was that McGhee died because of natural causes.
