Police said an officer pulled over a vehicle on Friday for traffic violations at the intersection of Route 6‑N and Baldwin Place Road.

During the stop, the officer learned the driver, Edwin Hernandez, was wanted on a warrant for domestic violence strangulation out of Florida.

He was arraigned in Carmel Town Court and then sent to the Putnam County Jail for extradition.
