A Lakeland school district bus driver is out on bail following an arrest for allegedly driving drunk with nearly three dozen kids on board.
Troopers say Mary Coletti, of Cortlandt Manor, had a blood-alcohol level of .13 when she crashed into a telephone pole at around 7 a.m. The bus she was driving was en route to Walter Panas High School in Cortlandt.
Coletti, 56, allegedly sideswiped a pole on Red Mill Road, damaging the bus and injuring nine of the 35 student passengers.
State police say Coletti kept going to the next bus stop, where she realized the bus was damaged because the door would not open for the next student.
Police say Coletti posted $1,000 bond hours after her arrest.
A spokesman at Lakeland Central School District says Coletti's bus driver's license has been revoked.
Coletti is facing felony drunken driving charges and is set to appear in Town of Cortlandt Court next Monday.
