A Copiague man is under arrest after police say he stole multiple bicycles from Sunrise Mall in Massapequa.  

Detectives say they were at Dick's Sporting Goods investigating multiple bike thefts when 36-year-old Michael Marte came to the scene.  

Police say once he noticed the officers, he ran.  

Marte was arrested and detectives say he had a trespass ban from Dicks Sporting Goods and was not permitted in the store.  

 

Marte is facing burglary and larceny charges.
