Police: 4 officers injured while pursuing stolen vehicle in Yonkers

Four officers were injured in Yonkers after pursuing a reportedly stolen car, police say.
It started around 8 p.m. Tuesday when officers located a stolen vehicle on Palisade Avenue. They attempted a traffic stop, but police say the driver kept going.

The driver is accused of hitting two police vehicles during the pursuit.
Police say the driver eventually took off on foot and jumped into the Saw Mill River in the area of New Main Street and Chicken Island.
Officers then went into the water and arrested the suspects.
Police say the injured officers are in stable condition.
The suspect was also hurt and is in stable condition. Police say he faces multiple charges.
