A 1-year-old injured in a Yorktown car crash was in
the backseat and not in a car seat, according to authorities.
Yorktown police responded to
the scene on Route 6 just before midnight on Sunday.
They say a 1-year-old
child was in the back seat, in a seat belt, and was cut near his mouth. He was taken to
the Westchester Medical Center.
Osgual Omar Romero-Godoy,
20, is now facing more than half a dozen charges, including DWI and
child endangerment. He was released on his own recognizance following an arraignment.
