Police say one person is dead and another is in serious condition following a crash in Rhinebeck Friday.

State police say Robert Dancy, of Worchester, was driving on State Route 9G near Vlei Road when he crossed over the center lane divider and struck a Chevy Cobalt.

The driver of the other car was 20-year-old Emily Wootton, of Vermont. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Dancy was taken to Westchester Medical Center with serious injuries.
