A plane carrying rapper Post Malone landed safely at Stewart International Airport after it blew two tires during takeoff at Teterboro Airport in New Jersey.

The Gulfstream IV plane was carrying 16 passengers when it left Teterboro around 10:50 a.m. Tuesday. The pilot soon realized what had happened and began circling the region to burn off fuel.

The plane was able to land safely at Stewart just before 4 p.m.

Fans of the rapper raced to the airport to watch, wait and pray.

Post Malone, whose real name is Austin Richard Post, tweeted moments after getting on the ground, "I landed guys, thank you for your prayers."

He had performed at the Video Music Awards in New York Monday night.

The jet had been headed to London Luton Airport in Luton, England. It had previously been set to try to land at the Westfield-Barnes airport in Massachusetts. It was diverted to Stewart because it has a longer runway, which is better for such emergencies.

News 12 was told that no one was was hurt.
