With Election Day quickly approaching, attorney general candidate Jeanine Pirro picked up another important endorsement Thursday.
Yonkers Mayor Phil Amicone announced he is endorsing Pirro. Amicone says Pirro is better than anyone else out there. He points to her years of prosecuting Yonkers? toughest criminals as Westchester district attorney. Pirro called Amicone?s endorsement an indication of the fight of New Yorkers.
Meanwhile, a letter from former Yonkers Mayor John Spencer caused more controversy for Pirro?s campaign. The letter, written three years ago, accused Pirro of protecting corrupt politicians during her time as district attorney. Pirro fielded a question about that letter at her News 12 debate Wednesday, calling the claim untrue. She went on to question why her opponent Andrew Cuomo continues to hide from debating her.
