Former Westchester District Attorney Jeanine Pirro is blasting the appellate court decision to overturn one of her Internet sex-sting convictions.
Manhattan attorney Jeffrey Kozlow became the 100th person apprehended in the county's Internet sex-sting operation in 2005 and was found guilty in a non-jury trial. However, his record was wiped clean after an appellate court reversed the conviction, finding Koslow's online sex chats were not criminal because no visuals or sexual images were ever sent.
Pirro says the court?s decision will draw a roadmap for pedophiles in the state explaining what not to do to get arrested. She says the graphic communications are just as damaging as pictures. Pirro, who is now running for state attorney general, started up and pushed the Internet sex-sting operation forward in Westchester. Now, many wonder how many other past or present cases like Koslow's could also be tossed out because of this interpretation of the law.
