Some heroic moments were caught on camera in Nyack Monday as
the Piermont Fire Department Dive Team executed a dramatic water rescue.
News 12 is told the dive team and a crew
of first responders were dispatched to help save an exhausted swimmer who has
autism.
They say rescuers were on the scene in less than five minutes to help her out.
They say once the
swimmer was on their marine unit, she was immediately evaluated by EMTs and
transferred to Nyack Ambulance.
