There's plenty of questions surrounding a petition to dissolve a village government in Rockland County.
The petition is going around by text, email and by word of mouth throughout Spring Valley.
It suggests the village government dissolve and leave the Town of Ramapo responsible for services.
News 12's sources don't know who is behind it, but it's generating buzz among residents and officials.
Village Trustee Yisroel Eisenbach has not seen nor knows who created it but told News 12 the law will be followed if a petition is filed.
Ramapo Supervisor Michael Specht says that while he has no position on the proposal, "If the residents of the village make the determination to dissolve the town stands ready to provide all services needed."
A group against the idea asked residents to meet at First Timothy Christian Church near Village Hall Wednesday, July 27 at 5 p.m.
As for village leadership, News 12 has yet to hear back from the mayor.
The Village of South Nyack officially dissolved into Orangetown earlier this year.
