Hundreds of canines and a handful of cats, along with their owners, came out for the annual "Hounds on the Sound" festival at Glen Island Park in New Rochelle this weekend.
The day was full of games, food, and even a training course for pups.
There were also plenty of stands offering up friendly four-legged friends for adoption. "People really need to know about adoption and rescue and how many wonderful dogs there are that are available for adoption; pure breeds, mixed breeds, every kind of dog they all need homes," say volunteer Robin London.
All the proceeds from the festival are being donated to the New Rochelle Humane Society, Pet Rescue of Larchmont and Mount Vernon Animal Shelter.
