The FDNY says a person is fighting for their life and two firefighters are recovering at the hospital following an apartment building fire in Longwood Thursday.
Firefighters responded to 894 Rogers Place just before 11:30 a.m.
Crews battled flames on the fifth floor of the six-story building and put the fire under control in just over 45 minutes, according to fire officials.
EMS took all three victims to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, where the person is currently listed in critical condition, and the firefighters are expected to recover from minor injuries.
