A child was hospitalized after falling from a moving school bus in Monsey on Wednesday afternoon.
Police said they responded to a call around 5 p.m. 70 Main St. for an unconscious person and learned the boy accidentally activated the rear-door release while the bus was driving.
The child fell onto the road, but the car behind the bus stopped and did not hit him, according to Ramapo police.
He was taken to Westchester Medical Center for treatment. The incident remains under investigation.
