The parents of a former Peekskill High School student are suing the district over claims their daughter was taken to an off-campus health clinic and given birth control pills without their permission.
The lawsuit, just filed by Anthony and Eva Jackson, parents of the then 16-year-old-girl, claims the child was examined and prescribed birth control pills, which she began taking without their knowledge in 2011.
The Jacksons, who now live in Newburgh, claim a Peekskill High School psychologist and his wife, who works at a local health clinic, conspired to get their their daughter birth control pills.
The superintendent of the Peekskill School District had no comment on the subject, except to say the district has yet to receive a copy of the lawsuit.
