Peekskill police arrest shooting suspect, recover illegal semi-automatic pistol

Police in Peekskill says a person was arrested following a shooting on Tuesday afternoon.
Officials received reports of gunfire near Nelson Avenue around 3:15 p.m. between Phoenix and Constant avenues.
Detectives say someone fired a shot during a fight.
On Wednesday, police tracked down and arrested the alleged shooter, David Gaetan, of Peekskill.
They also recovered an illegal 9 mm semi-automatic pistol.
