The New York Health Department has issued an advisory about a serious inflammatory disease, likely connected to coronavirus, that is affecting kids in the state.
The condition is called "Pediatric Multi-System Inflammatory Syndrome Associated with COVID-19."
As of yesterday, there were 64 potential cases in New York.
Symptoms can include persistent fever, abdominal symptoms, rash, and even cardiovascular symptoms requiring intensive care, in some cases.
The health department says none of the patients with this syndrome in New York have died.
