A few showers may pop up along the way, but most locations will be dry. There is also some activity brewing in the tropics.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
High pressure moved in the wake of a weak cold front's passage overnight, allowing humidity levels to take a touch of a dip on Friday. Temperatures got to seasonal levels but felt very warm under mainly sunny skies. Cloud cover builds up a bit overnight as the air stays muggy.
Saturday starts off cloudy, but the sun will return. Expect a mostly sunny midday to afternoon hours with warm temperatures, humid air and a breeze at times. It will be ideal weather conditions for any outdoor activities no matter if it involves firing up the grill, hitting the beaches or going into town for some community activities. There will be some scattered clouds returning overnight.
Sunday starts off mostly sunny but by midday, scattered clouds build up. While most locations will stay dry, a spotty shower can't be ruled out for the afternoon hours. That will be the case especially across northern Nassau County.
After a cold front pass by Monday morning, temperatures and humidity levels will be on the decline through the day and into Tuesday.
Another system moves into the picture Wednesday to bring scattered shower chances.
TROPICS: While it is not anticipated to make a direct landfall to the area from Hurricane Erin, the system will still impact the area as it passes by. Rough wave activity and breezy gusts will come around Wednesday into Thursday. Tropical downpours are not anticipated as the system stays offshore as it passes by and heads up into the North Atlantic.
