The stormy weather from yesterday has moved away, but strong winds will hang around through the morning hours. Gusts could get as high as 50 mph until 8 a.m., and a wind advisory is in effect all across the Hudson Valley.
Breezy winds will linger through the day today, after the morning rush, and will make the air feel chilly. Temperatures will be trending colder than the average high of 48 degrees for the day, and certainly colder than how it was yesterday. High temps on Monday topped close to 60 degrees. Today, the afternoon highs will struggle to get towards 40 degrees. Factor in breezy winds, and the temps will feel into the 30s. The winter coat, hat & scarf will have to come back out again so you can stay warm.
Wednesday is the coldest day of this week, with high temps only topping out in the mid to upper 30s. Temperatures will get milder as the rest of the week progresses though. By Friday, the daytime highs will be getting into the low 50s.
Spring officially arrives this Friday, at 10:46 a.m., when the Vernal Equinox occurs. Spring showers move in for the late day hours though. There is a chance, albeit not too high, for seeing some more Spring showers for the first weekend of the new season.
