Parents in the Mount Pleasant Central School District say they are angry about a handout a teacher at Westlake High School circulated on the first day of class Tuesday.
They say the handouts contained editorial cartoons regarding the Black Lives Matter movement.
What angered some parents was one cartoon that depicted a KKK member evolving into a modern day police officer.
School officials sent a lengthy statement saying the future materials will discuss current events fairly and consider all relevant viewpoints.
The school district is investigating the incident.
