Parents and police are on high alert in Rockland after a stranger followed a girl home from Cottage Lane Elementary School.
The incident happened Wednesday afternoon in Orangeburg.
Police say that the driver is described as a Hispanic man. They say he was driving a black van and tried talking to the child on Parkway Drive South after she stepped off a school bus.
Orangetown police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact them.
