A Nanuet parent has accused a second-grade teacher of telling her students that Santa Claus is fictional.
News 12 received an anonymous tip today from a man claiming to be the father of a second-grader at George Miller Elementary School in Nanuet. The father claimed his 7-year-old's teacher was going over geography, including a lesson about the North Pole, when the kids mentioned that's where Santa Claus is from.
The teacher then allegedly said Santa isn't real and that it's parents who give out presents.
The school principal would not confirm the allegations, referring News 12's call to the district superintendent, who was unavailable for comment.
