A worker at a Cortlandt car dealership was questioned Wednesday over a bomb hoax.
Employees discovered a suspicious package in an outside stairway at the Curry Toyota dealership on Route 6 around 11 a.m. The state police and Westchester County bomb squads shut down the well-traveled road.
Responders donned heavy protective gear before detonating the package. Officials determined it was not an explosive device.
During their investigation, authorities took a dealership employee in for questioning, however, no one has been charged.
Officials said even though the incident was a hoax, the perpetrator could face serious charges.
