County Executive Steve Neuhaus kicked off a tourism initiative in Orange County Monday at the Thomas Morahan Waterfront Park in Greenwood Lake.
Newhaus gave the village a check for $5,000.
Village officials say the money will be put to good use to help pay for the Fourth of July parade and fireworks show.
Tourism funds came from money taken in by the county's "Bed and Breakfast" tax.

Greenwood Lake's Independence Day event is Sunday, kicking off with a parade at 11:15 a.m.
