Officials: Swastikas found inside Middletown High School

The district superintendent sent a letter to the community on Wednesday saying swastikas made from red tape were found by an educator on a classroom window and cabinet.

Officials in Middletown launched an investigation after two swastikas were found this week in a classroom at the high school.
The district superintendent sent a letter to the community on Wednesday saying swastikas made from red tape were found by an educator on a classroom window and cabinet.
The symbols were removed, parents were notified, and a meeting was held with students in the classroom who saw the swastikas.
Just this week, a student in Putnam County was arrested for aggravated harassment in the first degree after they allegedly etched a swastika on a school table and turned themselves in.
