A child in Yonkers was struck by a turning vehicle at the intersection of North Broadway and Roberts Avenue in Yonkers on Thursday, officials say.

According to officials, the child was crossing the street with a guardian when the child ran ahead and was struck by the turning vehicle.

The child was reportedly struck at a low speed and showed no sign of harm.

The child was transported to a hospital for precautionary evaluation.

The identity of the driver has not been released.
