At least six inmates at the Sing Sing Correctional Facility in Ossining were hospitalized Saturday night, according to officials.
Officials have not released details on the nature of the hospitalizations.
Sources told News 12 that the incident appeared similar to one that happened back in July at the Westchester County Jail, when more than a dozen inmates were sickened after overdosing on synthetic marijuana.
Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino announced last month that the county jail tightened its security and enforced stricter visitation policies.
Sing Sing officials have not released the conditions of the hospitalized inmates.
