An Eastchester police officer on Monday helped deliver a New Rochelle woman's baby.
On Monday morning, Officer Nick Louros was sent to the corner of New Rochelle and California roads. He arrived on scene not to an accident, but soon-to-be mother Nancy Riley in labor in the backseat of a taxi.
Louros, a four-year veteran of the force, also happens to be the chief of operations for the Eastchester Volunteer Ambulance Corps. This was his first baby delivery.
EMT Jenna Martino was also on scene to aid in the delivery.
Riley says she's grateful to all those who helped deliver little Rowan.
