NYPD Aviation rescues woman bit by rattlesnake in Harriman State Park
NYPD Aviation was called Friday night to rescue a woman who was bit by a rattlesnake in Rockland County.
The 24-year-old woman from Brooklyn was bit in a heavily wooded area Harriman State Park near Sloatsburg.
Without help from NYPD Aviation, officials say it would have taken more than two hours to reach her.
Rescuers descended from the chopper, treated the victim and hoisted her to safety.
She is in stable condition at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi in the Bronx.
