Hundreds of Westchester County workers in White Plains had anything but a normal start to their workday Tuesday.
Noxious fumes forced dozens to evacuate an office building at 112 East Post Road around 10 a.m. Police say gas fumes from a boiler that was being worked on in the basement of the building traveled through an air duct. Two people became so sick they had to be rushed to the hospital. Both are expected to be fine.
The fire department tested the air quality and ruled it was fine. All of the workers are now back in their offices.
