A grand jury has indicted 14-year-old Noel Estevez in the fatal stabbing of classmate Timothy Crump.
Estevez is accused of stabbing Crump, 14, multiple times outside of their school, I.S. 117.
He claims the stabbing was in self-defense and says he was trying to stop Crump from punching him.
Estevez is charged with manslaughter in the second degree. He was originally charged with murder in adult criminal court, but because he's been indicted on a manslaughter charge, the case now moves to family court.
