Hundreds gathered in Louis Engel Waterfront Park in Ossining for a “No Kings” demonstration against the policies of the Trump administration.

The Ossining event is part of thousands of similar rallies across the U.S. Supporters say democracy is being threatened. Elizabeth Ungar of Sleepy Hollow says she's worried about possible cuts to Medicaid in particular.

"I believe that the work requirements are a paperwork requirement. It's going to make it more difficult for people to keep their Medicaid," she said.

Howard Fleischer says he's worried about the detentions and deportations being carried out by ICE agents throughout the country.

"My wife is Canadian and is now an American citizen. But she is in fear. She has to carry a copy of her passport and identity papers – and that is not the country that we live in. Masked people are taking people off the streets and doing what you see in dictatorships," he said.

Westchester County Legislator James Nolan, a Republican, had a different view.

"Everybody is entitled to exercise their First Amendment rights and their opinions. Many people are being misguided. There's are a lot of rumors out there, not necessarily facts. Some of them should look into more research and see about getting answers."
