It was a busy night Thursday for police in the city of Newburgh with two separate shootings and a bank robbery.
Police say an 18-year-old male victim was shot at around 5 p.m. on Carter Street. They say the victim was walking down the street when he heard gunshots and then felt a sharp pain in his foot.
Shortly after the first shooting, another teen and a 24-year-old man were injured on South Street. Authorities say the two were getting into their car when the driver of the vehicle was struck once in the arm and the passenger of the vehicle was struck once in the knee. The victims drove themselves to the hospital.
All three victims were treated at St. Luke's Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police have not released motives for the shootings and haven't said if they were related in any way.
City police are also investigating a robbery at the Hudson Heritage Federal Credit Union on Corwin Court. Reports say a masked gunman walked into a small area inside the bank that was left open during renovations and ordered an employee to get on the ground.
Employees say he warned them not to include any dye packs with the money and got away with more than $20,000 in cash. Customers told News 12 that they feel the branch doesn't have enough security and is an easy target.
The robbery suspect is described as a light-skinned black male approximately 5'8'' to 6' tall with a thin build. He was wearing a black jacket, dark colored pants, dark colored boots, a dark colored knit hat and sunglasses.
