A Newburgh teen is making a change by helping to raise a service dog.
Jamison Cullen, 16, and her family are raising a future service dog for Canine Companions.
Jamison, a junior at Newburgh Free Academy Main Campus, took in the dog at 11 weeks old.
The puppy, named Randle, is being trained to learn 40 professional commands.
Randle will be able to open and close doors, turn lights on and off and pick up dropped items.
When Randle turns about 1 ½ years old, he will go back to Canine Companions for professional training.
He will then get matched with an adult, child or veteran with disabilities.
