At a press conference Monday, Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced that the number of confirmed swine flu cases in New York City has risen to 28, with 17 more possibly infected.

Students at St. Francis Preparatory in Queens remain the only ones to test positive for the virus. Mayor Bloomberg stressed this point, telling people there is only one cluster of swine flu at one school.

Despite the encouraging information, thousands are increasingly concerned that the virus could spread beyond those students. Hospitals have been busy with people coming in to get tested for the virus, even though they aren't displaying any of the symptoms.

The mayor assured everyone not to panic and to seek medical attention only if you have severe flu symptoms.
