A New Windsor man convicted of first-degree rape has been sentenced to 18 years in prison.
According to police, 28-year-old Peter Donnery admitted to assaulting a woman in New Windsor last summer after dragging her off a Newburgh street and into his car.
Police say the woman was able to escape and get help.
