An email was sent to parents of New Rochelle students from Superintendent Dr. Laura Feijoo updating the community on distance learning plans.
One of the plans includes "a robust summer school, if needed."
Some parents feel that is necessary to get their kids back on track. They say it is difficult to teach children in different grades, while also working from home.
But some parents are not on board, saying the kids are at home doing work, not having fun.
Other parents say maybe tutors or teachers could give students help a few times a week, instead.
News 12 has reached out to Dr. Feijoo about the summer school comment but has not heard back.
