News 12 has obtained dramatic new video of Friday's crash on the Tappan Zee Bridge that caused a major traffic jam.
The video was taken by a motorist with a dashcam as he was driving behind the truck.
As News 12 previously reported, a truck flipped over and spilled its cargo of scrap metal on the northbound side of the bridge just before 9 a.m. Friday.
All northbound lanes were shut during the cleanup, which took several hours. The lanes have since reopened.
State police say the rear axle of the truck broke off, causing it to topple under the immense weight of its load.
Luckily no one was injured in the crash.
