Hundreds of people turned out last night to protest against a proposed pedestrian and bike path on the new Tappan Zee Bridge.
The original plan is to make the entrance of the shared use path somewhere in the Village of South Nyack. Some residents voiced their fears last night saying it would create a traffic nightmare and bring unwanted tourists to their neighborhood.
Homeowners suggest to make the entrance near the exit 10 interchange.
Village leaders are calling for a special meeting with Gov. Andrew Cuomo. They say they don't feel residents have been treated fairly in their negotiations with the governor's surrogates.
