Tony nominated musical "Operation Mincemeat" announced a tour set to launch in 2026.
The cast and writers made the global takeover announcement in front of the United Nations in New York City.
The tour is scheduled to begin Feb. 16, 2026 with the first stop being at The Lowry in Manchester, United Kingdon. Other stops include Australia, Canada, China, New Zealand, U.S.A. and Mexico.
"Operation Mincemeat" is set in 1943, and the Allied Forces are on the ropes. Luckily, they have a trick up their sleeve. Well, not up "their" sleeve, per se, but rather inside the pocket of a stolen corpse. Equal parts farce, thriller, and Ian Fleming-style spy caper. The musical tells the widely improbable and hilarious true story of the covert operation that turned the tide of World War II.
The musical is a 2025 Tony nominee for Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, Best Original Score Written for the Theatre and Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Musical.
