I'll start with the good news! There are no complete washouts expected this week and any rain does help the moderate drought parts of the lower Hudson Valley is still in. The bad news? Outside activities, especially today and tomorrow, will not have great weather.

Today is mainly cloudy with a few passing light rain showers. There will certainly be dry time, too with high temperatures around the lower 70s.

Heading to the Mets game tonight? Spotty rain showers are likely, but the game may be playable as rain amounts should only be around one-tenth of one inch or less. Take a poncho just in case if you're going!

Continue to keep the umbrella and rain jacket for tomorrow with periods of light to moderate rain showers tomorrow morning and a few occasional showers mixed with dry time tomorrow afternoon and evening.

While Thursday will be mostly dry, an isolated brief rain shower cannot be ruled out. There is also the chance for a spotty shower or thunderstorm in the Friday to Saturday timeframe, but there should still be decent weather with breaks of sunshine mixed in. It will also be warmer and more humid for the end of the week and start of the weekend with high temperatures around 80 degrees.
